The movie taare zameen par was a excellent movie but to be nominated to oscars was not good. This movie didn't had any capabilites to go to oscars. It's high time aamir khan stops dreaming of an oscars because oscars doesnt give award to over rated actors like him.

We are usually sending wrong movies to the Oscar.There were so many good movies produced outside Bollywood(like Bengali,Kannada,Malayalam, Assamese etc).But we are sending movies acted by such big stars or big banners(with enough masala) from bollywood.Last year we send lage raho munnabhai.These movies may be block busters in India.That doesn't means these are great movies. If
we send the right movie to the Oscar there may be a chance to win.

Taare Zameen Par definetly deserved an Oscar. It was hear touching and the climax of the movie moved everybody from the heart and probably put some people in tears.
Don't worry Amir continue with your good work. Take it easy, you have support of whole india. Mera Bharat Mahaan !!!!!

com'on, what's the big issue, if it would have got a Oscar nomination & won it, for TZP it would be a bonus....for film like these we donot need a oscar or awards...people verdict is the biiggest award and we have apprecited it .....what say guys??/

Those who think TZP was the best movie in the world have never seen international movies. They might have seen the likes of spiderman & superman and though we are better. TZP is good in Indian standards. But there is no need to cry sour grapes. I have seen Gomorrah & Waltz with Bashir, two of the probables in the same category. TZP never stood a chance.

its good that taare zameen par dint go to oscars,....if it had been selected to the final list or if it had won an oscar,...then darsheel would have acted as if he is the best actor in the whole world. The kind of attitude darsheel is showing nowadays highlights his headweight,...we should act according to our age,...Aamir khan is excellent in handling such issues,...he deserved best director award for the movie anyways...!!!

One out of every six persons in the world loved TZP but still such an excellent and innovative movie by our own perfectionist Amir Khan could not make it to the Oscars. On the other hand a film directed by a westerner showing Indian poverty and slums has grabbed worldwide attention, awards and accolades.
