| | NDTV: It promises to be a very exciting year for Shahid Kapur with three releases coming up. He's turning away from the image, a term I’m sure he hates, the chocolate boy, who could perhaps be a Kaminey. Not just that, he's romancing a girl dressed as a boy. Despite all of that, it has been what, over a year since I managed to catch up with you. Shame on you.
Shahid : Yes. Unfortunately yes, I apologize, profusely.
NDTV: You should. So it’s a really busy year. Of course what everybody’s talking about and what I have to lead with, is that shot of you in Kaminey that we've seen so far...racing the horses had to be great fun.
Shahid: Well, actually it wasn’t too much fun because I was running with horses you see and they are much faster than human beings, so it was pretty crazy. Because they would place the horses really far back and me forward and by the time I took my third step, they would be like, 'yee yee yee' and I would be like! Am I alright ?
NDTV: Of all the rumours that you have heard, which was the one that bugs you, or makes you crack up.
Shahid: There's a long list. There was this one rumour that after Kareena and I broke up, about me and Amrita seeing each other. Poor thing! We have known each other for like four years and suddenly we were being linked up.
What happened was, I went to see a film with Shri Ram, my best friend, and my family and when we walked out, there were 20 cameras out there. So, I wondered, it's 2 (am) in the morning, did something happen?
So, we sat in our car and drove off and nobody asked me any questions.
Two days later it was in the news that I and Amrita went to see the film and she's bonded with my family. It was a multiplex with five screens, so I thought maybe she was in the next screen. When I spoke to her she said: "I am in Delhi." So things like this happen.
NDTV: Now would it be inappropriate if I asked you to give us a comfortable demonstration of the speech defect from Kaminey?.
Shahid: Ok, I will try. One of the characters in the film can’t say "S" which is Charlie, so he says "main ph ko ph bolta hoon" so ask me a question and I'll say the answer without using "S". I'll try my luck.
NDTV: You have been voted the world’s sexiest vegetarian, how does that feel?
Shahid : Fexiest vegetarain. Well it feefs interefting that you know people like you in a certain Fpace and I feel very touched and honored that people have liked me. (Sexiest vegetarain.
