Abhay Deol's Dream House

Highlights

• Abhay Deol has purchased a one-acre land in north Goa to build his dream house an eco-friendly project. Construction begins soon in a month's time.
• A friend of the actor informs, "The land is on the side of a mountain, surrounded by greenery and has a great view."
• He adds, "There will be four bedrooms, a living room and a dining room and an open kitchen. His master bedroom will be on the first floor with a terrace. A 22-seater private screening room is also on the cards."
• The Abhay has friends, architect couple Vishakha and Muninder Chowdhry designing his dream house. Reveals Muninder, "Abhay wants a house that incorporates environmentally sustainable design.
• The construction will conform to leed Platinum standards in its development."
• What architectural style will be employed? "We won't be stylistically bound. It will be a contemporary home, with materials, colours and accents that reflect Abhay's personality in many ways. The house will have pitched and green roofs with huge windows for a lot of natural light."
• What is Abhay bringing to the table, in terms of creative inputs? "A lot! He has an amazing taste and it's a joy to work with him."
