- Mr Lakshmikant responded, Phir kab miloge? (When are we meeting again?)" Prakash got a clue from this dialogue and said, "Gentlemen, we have the opening lyrics!"

- Mr Bakshi wrote the entire lyrics in the next 25 minutes, and by midnight Lakshmikant-Pyarelal had composed the tune for a song that became a rage and popular in college campuses.
