New Delhi: Actor Rishi Kapoor has responded on, where else?, Twitter to being described as a 'spoilt brat' as only Rishi Kapoor can. He returned a backhanded compliment from actress Moushumi Chatterjee in kind.

In an interview to Times of India, Ms Chatterjee picked Mr Kapoor as her favourite actor despite being 'arrogant.' She said, "I am actually a Chintu fan. Rishi Kapoor is my favourite actor, but he is a spoilt brat. Chintu was arrogant at times and he still is but he is my most favourite as he is an awesome actor."

In a tweet, Mr Kapoor lobbed 'crackpot' back at her, qualifying it as she had with a 'but':

Rishi Kapoor, 66, and Moushumi Chatterjee, 62, co-starred in films like Ghar Pariwar, Vijay and Aa Ab Laut Chalen. Ms Chatterjee, who made an acclaimed debut in 1967's Balika Badhu, just returned to Bollywood in director Shoojit Sircar's Piku.

Rishi Kapoor, meanwhile, is a formidable presence of Twitter. In a tweet on Tuesday, he told actresses Kangana Ranaut and Mandira Bedi to eat.
