New Delhi: If you've seen Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, you've seen Ranbir Kapoor paying homage to a scene from father Rishi Kapoor's film Chandni. In the song Cutiepies, Anushka Sharma wears a yellow saree similar to the one Sridei wore in the Chandni song Mitwa. In the recreation, Ranbir placed a flower in Anushka's hair just as his dad did in the original.

Now, Rishi Kapoor says he wants to do a 'take-off' on his son in return.

In response to a fan who tweeted the very sequence from the Karan Johar film, terming it the 'best thing about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' Rishi Kapoor posted this:

This is Ranbir Kapoor's second tribute piece for his father. Ranbir's 2008 film Bachna Ae Haseeno was named after a hit song featuring Rishi Kapoor from 1977's Hum Kisise Kum Naheen - a song that Ranbir reprised in his own film.

A few days ago, the elder Mr Kapoor had said that another upcoming film reminded him of Yash Chopra's classic romance. He called the Ranveer Singh-Vaani Kapoor film Befikre an updated adult version of Chandni after watching the trailer.

The Befikre team responded:

Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor had better get cracking on that 'inch-pinch.'
