Actor couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have reportedly been approached to co-star in a movie to be produced by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, according to
India Today. Abhishek, 41, and Aishwarya, 43, have reportedly been locked in for a script written and to be directed by a newcomer in Anurag's Phantom Films. The film is a rom com titled
Gulab Jamun, says a report in
India Today. Abhishek and Aishwarya co-starred in films like
Dhai Akshar Prem Ke,
Kuch Naa Kaho,
Umrao Jaan and
Guru before getting married in 2007. After that they've co-starred in
Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj, with head of the family Amitabh Bachchan, and in Mani Ratnam's
Raavan.
Abhishek and Aishwarya married in 2007 and they have a
five-year-old daughter named Aaradhya. Earlier, there were reports that Mani Ratnam would direct Aishwarya and Abhishek together in a film but were soon refuted by the filmmaker and the actor.
Recently, Abhishek shared a picture from the sets of the Mani Ratnam-directed
Raavan:

Dhoom 2, the second in a series that Abhishek headlines, in which Aishwarya was cast opposite actor Hrithik Roshan. Aishwarya also danced to
Kajra Re with Abhishek and Big B in their film
Bunty Aur Babli.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was
last seen in 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, directed by Karan Johar and co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. After appearing in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2010 film
Guzaarish, Aishwarya took a sabbatical to raise her daughter Aaradhya. She returned to films in 2015 with Sanjay Gupta's
Jazbaa, which turned out to be a box office turkey. She was next seen in
Sarbjit, a biopic on the Indian who died in a Pakistani jail.
So far, Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan have made no announcement - neither denying nor confirming - about Anurag Kashyap's film.
