Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn said that though he believes that Drishyam will do well at the box office, he does not expect the movie to mint a sum of Rs 150 crores.

Drishyam, a murder mystery set in Goa, directed by Nishikant Kamat, which also stars Shriya Saran and Tabu in lead roles, releases on July 31.

"I am sure it (Drishyam) will do well. In today's market, the fate of such films at the box office depends on word of mouth. We are not expecting this film to do Rs 150 crores. This film has been made with a limited budget and if it does decently and covers the cost, it's good. If the budget is big then it becomes a problem," Ajay told PTI.

The 46-year-old actor said a star always feels pressurised about doing a good film as it is expected to perform well at the box office.

"As a star there is always pressure that you need to have a certain collection, but not as an actor. The day I get a script, with which I am not pressurised, I don't have to bother how the film is going to perform. Since word of mouth is going to be strong, I do it," he said.

"They are not potboilers that open on big scale. When you are sure that the film is nice and word of mouth is going to be strong, then you decide to do the film as there is no sense of insecurity. Otherwise there is always is, of how it will perform and all," he added.

After a long time Ajay will be seen in an intense performance-oriented role in Drishyam and he said he did miss doing such roles.

"I was missing it in a way. There was a lot of demand for it. Lots of people asked me about why I am not doing films like Zakhm, Company, Gangaajal and Omkara. It (Drishyam) is a brilliant film and I think it deserves to be seen by maximum number of people," Ajay said.
