"It's a very different film for me. I have literally been nursing this project for several years now and I am glad the time has come for the film to go on the floors," Omung said in a statement.

According to media reports, Akshay Kumar will star in five roles in Five.

Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Singh, who produced Omung's last film Sarbjit, are back together again for the psychological thriller.

In a joint statement, they said: "Omung Kumar's Five will raise the bar with its exciting storyline, fantastic music, and its unique setting."

The music will be composed by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli and Amaal Mallik, with a screenplay by Utkarshini Vashishtha and director of photography Ravi Varman.
