New Delhi: Alia Bhatt's birthday celebrations took some time to materialize, at least on social media, but this video shows that the wait was totally worth it.

Alia's actress-turned-filmmaker sister Pooja Bhatt shared this video in which her grandfather, N Razdan, performed a special rendition of the 'Happy Birthday' song (on violin), featuring her grandmother Gertrude (on harmonica). It left Alia in tears - something, as Pooja reveals, is an abundant commodity in the Bhatt household.

Alia also shared a similar video (minus the waterworks) and wrote: "My grandparents wish me happy birthday in the most beautiful way couldn't hold back my tears. #belatedbirthdaycelebration."

Alia turned 23 on March 15 but the actress was busy promoting her new film Kapoor And Sons, which released on March 18. Alia was on a multi-city tour with her co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan on her birthday. (Also Read: How Sidharth Malhotra Made Alia Bhatt Realise the Value of a Family)

Now that Kapoor And Sons has released and has won over critics and box office alike, Alia Bhatt is catching up on parties.

Pooja also shared a picture of Alia and her grandmother and captioned it:

Meanwhile, Alia's upcoming projects include Udta Punjab and a film with Shah Rukh Khan, to be directed by Gauri Shinde.
