Amitabh Bachchan: Deven Verma Brought Smiles to a Million Faces

Big B paid an ode to Deven Verma

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has paid an ode to "friend" and late filmmaker Deven Verma.

Mr Verma died at the age of 77 in Pune early Tuesday following a heart attack and kidney failure.

Mr Bachchan wrote on Twitter
 

T 1693 -Deven Verma .. friend, co artist, producer and one that brought smiles on the faces of millions .. no more ! Prayers & condolences

The duo worked in films like Kabhi Kabhie and Silsila. He also directed Big B in Besharam, which released in late 1970s.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently "out on the highways of Gujarat" for Shoojit Sircar's upcoming film Piku.
