Amitabh Bachchan: I Should Have Been in Baahubali

Big B gave team Baahubali his best wishes.

New Delhi: After watching the first look of Baahubali, megastar Amitabh Bachchan felt that some action sequences and frameworks used in the project can only be seen in progressive Hollywood films. He said that he would have been happy to be part of this mega multi-lingual project helmed by S S Rajamouli.

During a video chat with Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati, the 72-year-old star shared his thoughts, and said that he is simply "amazed and astonished" to see such "magnificent visuals".

"So Rana, I feel very privileged to have seen this first look that you just showed me of Baahubali and I am absolutely amazed and astonished that how you have been able to recreate this magnificent visual. I'm sure of course the story is equally good. You are working with Rajamouli and he is such a renowned talent. How did you conceive something like this? It's just unimaginable," he said.

The Hindi theatrical rights of Baahubali have been bought by filmmaker Karan Johar and it will be released in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, English, French and several foreign languages.

Featuring actors Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah in lead roles, the first part of Baahubali is scheduled to release on July 10.

Big B also shared that how he feels really small in front of projects like this.

"I feel so small in front of something like this because it's a great effort. I doubt if anything like this have been seen on Indian cinema before. I hope that millions and millions of people can see the effort that has been made because it’s truly unimaginable,” the actor said.

"We normally see this kind of structure and this kind of action or whatever the framework is in some of the more progressive Hollywood films but to have to see this here in India is amazing," said Big B, who feels honoured to be part of an industry that is "inventing and making such fantastic material."

"I should have been in this project," he added.

Mr Bachchan is also sure that the movie will have a massive audience and he has wished the film's team "all the very best".
