Amitabh Bachchan Wants to Start a Campaign for Hepatitis B

Big B has been associated with UNICEF as a Global Ambassador for polio eradication since 2005.

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wishes to use his stardom to eradicate more social issues and the latest on those lines is a plan to start a new campaign for disease caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV).

The 72-year-old, who has been associated with UNICEF as a Global Ambassador for polio eradication since 2005, took his concern for the disease to social media on Monday, saying that he met doctors recently to plan strategies to cure it.



The actor, recently also became the face of BMC's TB eradication and awareness campaign in Mumbai.

Big B will next be seen in Shamitabh, which is being directed by R Balki. The film also stars actors Dhanush and Akshara Haasan in pivotal roles. The film is expected to release on February 6.
