- He writes: "It all started as a lark in between shots of a film I was shooting, sitting in my vanity van .. thinking of what should the first lines should be .. and then the next day, getting two responses ... the absolute joy that someone actually connected ..noting down their name, what they said, what question they asked, on a small piece of paper ... and then taking them back to the Blog.
- Wondering what should I title the Blog .. thought of writing DAY 1 .. and a few days later, a suggestion came through to title them according to the description of the content ... some saying there shall be a day Mr B when we shall be counting the days in the hundreds .. that smirky smile on my face of complete disbelief .. and today .. DAY 1828 !!!!!"
- Mr Bachchan acknowledges the effort that has gone into creating and maintaining the blog, asking: "How on earth did we ever accomplish this ???!!!"
- And it seems that he actually forgot his blog's birthday: "Now that you remind me of the anniversary, a day even I fail to remember, I am simply amazed at the most intricate and valuable information that has come through these posts .. on matters personal, on matters of conflict, on matters of worldly wisdom, of care and consideration for the other, of the connections made with unknowns, of bondings, friendships that never existed but do now with a flourish, our concerns for each other, our greetings to those, oceans and worlds apart, of discovering incredible talent ... all through the medium of a few words ???
