Mumbai: Amrita Rao lost her personal diamond jewellery set worth Rs 7 lakh on the sets of Love You Mr Kalaakaar in Film City, Mumbai.

The actress had carried the set in her bag and had kept it in her vanity van along with her other stuff. She wanted to wear it as part of her shoot sequence but was shocked to find it missing later.

"I was horrified. I had never been in such a situation before. I have lost things in the past (like cell phones) but this was a vanishing trick," Amrita said.

The star had carried the expensive jewels (which she had received as part of an endorsement deal for a jewellery brand) as it went very well with her film costume.

"For this particular scene, I was required to wear a traditional outfit and it was perfect for it," she said.

After a frantic hunt when the jewels could not be found, she had to turn to co-star Madhoo who had several pieces of jewellery to complete the shoot.

Initially, Amrita thought that she might have kept it somewhere in her baggage, so she did not raise an alarm. After going through her belongings and checking the vanity van, she panicked.

"I did ask all the unit hands present but no-one owned up. And without any proof, I just could not point fingers at any innocent person. I also told my co-star Tusshar Kapoor about it. He informed the production team," she added.

Strangely, the actress hasn't filed a police complaint yet. "Some people said I should but I haven't. I was hoping that the concerned person will return it quietly. I have also been busy with the film's promotions. But now I will have to take a call on it," Amrita said.
