Mumbai: No Problem producer B K Modi had planned a lavish party at his Juhu bungalow to celebrate the release of his film. Invitations were sent out to the cast asking them to mark their attendance.

Unlike the producers, the actors were less than enthusiastic on attending the event. Buzz is that everyone from Anil Kapoor to Sushmita Sen was reluctant to go to the party after critics and bad word-of-mouth panned it.

A source reveals, "The idea was to invite not just the cast but other B-Town bigwigs as well. Modi personally sent out invitations to actors asking them to join him in the celebration of his film's release. However, when he didn't get any response from his own cast, Anil Kapoor personally asked him to cancel the party."

Adds the source, "Kangna and Sushmita were the first to cancel as both were extremely unhappy on not being promoted before release. Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna both cited reasons of being busy with other engagements."

Apparently, Anil had to coax Modi to cancel the party as it would be embarrassing to celebrate without the cast and crew.

"He suggested there shouldn't be a party if no one is coming to attend it. Modi had to pay heed to Anil's words."

A source close to Kapoor states that he wasn't involved in Modi's party plans. "The No Problem party was being organised by the producer. It has nothing to do with Anil. He wasn't part of the planning or any way involved in the organising."
