Actor Anil Kapoor credits it to his positivity towards life and to the fact that he's not "delusional" about his age and status. His looks and physique defy that he is 58 years old, has three children and a three decade-long career as an actor behind him.
Mr Kapoor was flattered by compliments that he is getting younger by the years. But he reminded generous reporters that he's indeed a father of three - Sonam, Rhea and Harshvardhan - and all of whom are above 20 years of age.
"I am not delusional. I know where I stand," he said, and added that it is thus that he ensures he does a film like
Dil Dhadakne Do where he gets to play his age and a father, as well as a movie like

"Sometimes people live under the pretense that they are huge stars (and they think to themselves) 'I'm a great actor, very good looking, great actor and very young too'. In my case, I know exactly where I stand. Every day I think that I am very blessed and lucky that I am here at this stage. I am a happy person. I try to put positivity in whatever I do, in some or the other way," said Mr Kapoor, who believes that more than gym routines, it is important to lead a healthy lifestyle for a fitter frame. For now, he's looking forward to entertaining the audience with
Welcome Back, in which he reprises the role of Majnu Bhai from the 2007 film
Welcome.
He said that while it's "not a great film", but definitely a "happy and entertaining" one.
In the film, directed by Anees Bazmee, he is joined by an ensemble of actors like John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia.
Welcome Back, produced by Firoz Nadiadwala will release on September 4.
