Actor Anil Kapoor's claim that he is nothing like his character in new film Dil Dhadakne Do has been bolstered by his actress daughter Sonam who watched her father play the head of the madcap Mehra family at a screening in Mumbai.

Sonam agrees and adds, "That's just a testimony to how amazing he is in the film." She tweeted:
Sonam's words have been echoed by many of Mr Kapoor's industry colleagues who have declared themselves awed by the 58-year-old actor's work in the Zoya Akhtar-directed film. (Also Read:

From the trailer and other glimpses of the film, we know that Mr Kapoor plays the role of a business man who wants his own way, be it his son Kabir's (Ranveer Singh) love life or his daughter Ayesha's (Priyanka Chopra) marital issues or his wife Neelam's (Shefali Shah) diet.
In his review for NDTV, Saibal Chatterjee writes that Anil Kapoor's character Kamal Mehra "is too full of himself to notice that neither his wife nor his son and daughter think much of him." (
