Ashutosh Gowariker, Raj Zutshi Bid Final Farewell to Rajesh Vivek

Mumbai: The last rites of actor Rajesh Vivek were conducted on January 15 in Mumbai.

Mr Vivek, 66, died on January 14 due to a heart attack. Mr Vivek appeared in films like Jodhaa Akbar, Bunty Aur Babli, Agneepath, Bandit Queen and Son Of Sardaar. His best-known work is as the astrologer Guran in Aamir Khan's 2001 blockbuster Lagaan and as the postmaster Nivaran in 2004's Swades, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. "The last rites of Rajesh were performed by his son Vaibhav at Pawan Hans crematorium in suburban Mumbai around 3 PM," his close friend Vishu Sharma told PTI.

Raj Zutshi, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker and Hemant Pandey attended his funeral. Mr Gowariker has directed Mr Vivek in Lagaan and Swades.




Mr Vivek's Swades co-star Dayashankar Pandey and Lagaan co-star Akhilendra Mishra were engaged in a conversation with Mr Gowariker.
