Dishoom, the action film starring Varun Dhawan and John Abraham, here's some trivia to add to your excitement. The helicopter scene in the film -
you've seen it in the trailer - cost a reported Rs 3 crores to film, making it the most expensive
Bollywood action sequence shot ever.
It is also apparently the longest chase sequence shot in a Hindi film, clocking about 11 to 12 mins. Whoa!
According to a press release, the costs added up because of what it took to film the scene in Morocco. Multiple choppers and trained fighters were used and a part of the crew comprised international artistes. The safety of everyone involved was taken care of by makers.
In
Dishoom, Junaid (Varun Dhawan), a local cop in the Emirates, and special task force officer Kabir (John Abraham), embark on a journey to find Viraj,
India's top batsman, who is abducted 36 hours before the semi-finals of a tournament.
The film, directed by Varun's brother Rohit Dhawan, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna. It will release on July 29.
