The almost two-minute long clip shows Ranveer and his Bajirao Mastani director Sanjay Leela Bhansali filming gruelling sequences involving battle scenes and sword fights with the rest of the crew, including actress Priyanka Chopra, who plays Bajirao's first wife Kashibai and Deepika Padukone, who features as his warrior queen Mastani.

In the video, Ranveer says about his character, "It's a trademark Sanjay Leela Bhansali character. An Alpha warrior who has never lost a battle. A man who lives a very simple life. He's son, a father, husband, lover and a leader. He is extremely strong physically and mentally. Extremely courageous. A man who is not afraid of anything or anyone. Who is not afraid of consequences or even of death. A true hero. It's a once in a lifetime character."

Bajirao Mastani opens on December 18, the same time as the Rohit Shetty-directed Dilwale, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Watch the Making of Bajirao here
