Bombay Velvet is Anurag Kashyap's Aag, Rants Ram Gopal Varma on Twitter

Anurag wrote 1998's Satya, the film that made Ram Gopal Varma's name

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet opened on Friday only to be skewered by critics and ignored at the box office and his colleague Ram Gopal Varma is gloating over the film's dismal performance on Twitter.

RGV, who's clearly still burnt by the disaster that was Aag, ranted:
 
 
  In another life, Anurag Kashyap and RGV were collaborators. Anurag wrote 1998's Satya, the film that made RGV's name. He also wrote Kaun? and the dialogues for Shool before falling out massively with RGV and later dismissing him publicly on Koffee With Karan saying, "Ram Gopal Varma was, not Ram Gopal Varma is."

He also derided his erstwhile mentor's much-reviled Sholay remake, ambitiously titled Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, which crashed and burned in spectacular fashion.
