It was a mutual admiration society of sorts as actor Amitabh Bachchan and West Indies batting sensation Chris Gayle discovered that each was a fan of the other. Cricket's King of Bling provided the opening shot in the tweet-exchange when he told Big B that he loved his 'movies and his style'.
A thrilled Big B promptly told Chris Gayle that he was equally a fan, and added that 'I never knew you would know me.'
The Jamaican-born West Indian cricketer, who is known for his extravagant lifestyle, became the first man in world cricket to use a willow of that colour in 2015. Indian manufacturers Spartan, the makers of the new bat, earlier told IANS it did not give the flamboyant opener any special advantage and that the laws of the game have been adhered to.
