New Delhi: It was meant to be a party to toast the box office success of Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor's new release but, on November 30, Mumbai hotspot Olive was the perfect setting for a Tamasha of a rather different sort. For once, the cameras didn't bother Deepika and her rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh, who let their guard down and put on a display of affection, oblivious to the presence of their colleagues from Bollywood, the press and the paparazzi. There was a kiss and a hug in full public view:

Deepika, fabulous in floral Dolce & Gabbana and Ranveer, quirky in a grey suit that appeared to include a skirt, couldn't stop gazing into each other's eyes.

Deepika did play the perfect hostess, eventually, with co-star Ranbir Kapoor. Tamasha, directed by Imtiaz Ali and released last Friday, made over Rs 38 crores in its first weekend at home.

Among the guests was Alia Bhatt, pretty in a blue shift dress, who posed for pictures with Deepika and Imtiaz, who directed her in Highway.

Gangsof Wasseypur actress Richa Chadha was stunning in black. Director Divya Khosla Kumar, wife of Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, wore pale pink Vineti Bolaki.

Deepika was photographed exchanging pleasantries with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, film critic Anupama Chopra and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

Other A-listers who were invited included actor Riteish Deshmukh, director Vikramaditya Motwane and his wife Ishika, filmmakers Boney Kapoor and Sajid Khan and UTV's Sidharth Roy Kapur.

Bosco Martis, who choreographed the song Matargashti from Tamasha, seemed to have had a good time. As did Director Vikas Bahl who made a Shaandaar appearance in a black T-shirt and grey trousers.
