  • Sushant, who made a stellar debut with Kai Po Che!,will be seen as "an adventurous, young, fresh out of college and thriller-loving youth who wants to be a detective".
  • The actor had a successful stint with TV serials as the male lead Manav in Pavitra Rishta.
  • "He is very natural, subtle and credit goes to him for efficiently portraying Manav.The second reason is he is modern andI wanted a young, vulnerable actor," said Banerjee.
  • "Sushant is the earlier Byomkesh (of 1930s). The Byomkesh that Bandyopadhayay wrote when he was young and adventurous. That is the new aspect that you will get," he added.
