Mumbai: Actor Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalised following respiratory problems, is feeling 'better' now and has thanked fans for their wishes. The 93-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital on April 16.

Dilip Kumar's wife, actress Saira Banu earlier disclosed that the actor was hospitalised as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection and respiratory problems.

"Oral drugs would not act as fast as the IV injections, the doctors advised. Hence it became necessary to shift him to a hospital. He is recovering well and is stable by the grace of God and the care of the doctors treating him," Sairaji had said.

The legendary actor, whose real name is Mohammad Yusuf Khan, acted in a string superhit films during his six-decade long career such as Madhumati, Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam and Karma.

Dilip saab, who was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015, was last seen on-screen in 1998's Qila.
