Karan Johar's joke is likely to ruffle many feathers in Bollywood
For the rest of the world, life will carry on after 21.12.2012, the
so-called Doomsday. But for director Karan Johar, the world as he knows
it may, at the very least, be severely dented after he tweeted a
Doomsday joke that many in Bollywood are unlikely to find funny.
Karan
Johar tweeted this morning: Saying the world will end is like saying
the film industry is a happy family!!! Both delusions and nowhere round
the corner!!
This piece of plain speaking from the Student Of The Year director quickly received a reply from director Farah Khan: @kjohar25 so will u stop using the word"Fraternity"pleeeese??!?
This is not the first time that Karan Johar has hinted at rifts and
conflicts in the showbiz industry. After attending the premiere of Jab Tak Hai Jaan
on November 12, he had tweeted: For the first time in years the
industry was a fraternity again....one man.. YASH CHOPRA brought
everyone in one room with a feeling of LOVE
Meanwhile director Shekhar Kapur also had some end of the world humour
with a series of tweets: this must b the latest I have got out of bed in
years ... 2 scared as the world could have ended .. r there any human
beings left?
Oh well.. d world did not end.. but Modi is 2 b r next PM. Does that count? Kidding ..just kidding :)
'what were you doing the night the world ended Daddy? What wld I say? Slept thru it?
my little girl called to say she loved me, just in case d world ended tomorrow :) :) :)
Kabir Bedi struck a more sombre note: STOP! It may not be the end of the
world, but a good day to reflect on what would trouble you the most if
you died today.
