The film may have had a small start but the collection doubled on second day

Slow and steady may win this box office race. Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar's recently released film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, which opened to great reviews, has collected nearly Rs 3 crore in two days.

The film may have had a small start at Rs 1.11 crore on the first day, but the collection doubled on the second day at Rs 2.09 crore. (Movie Review: Dum Laga Ke Haisha)

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted:

Dum Laga Ke Haisha has received positive reviews from critics and the industry insiders. Actors like, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Riteish Deshmukh, among others have praised the film, its concept and the lead actors.

The film, which is set in 1994, is the love story of a mismatched couple Prem (played by Ayushmann) and Sandhya (played by Bhumi). The film is directed by Sharat Katariya and it also stars Sanjay Mishra, Alka Amin, Sheeba Chaddha and Seema Pahwa.
