Ek Tha Tiger's first day earnings at the box office has been even bigger than expected. Predictions called for at least Rs 30 crore.

And the final figure is in. This tweet from trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirms that Salman Khan has delivered yet another blockbuster:Okay, here's the *actuals* of #EkThaTiger on Wednesday: Rs 32.92 cr nett on 3300 screens in India. Beyond Historic!An official from Mumbai's Gaiety Galaxy said, "There's no doubt that Ek Tha Tiger has got the biggest opening till date."

It should be noted that multiplexes have hiked the ticket price of the film by about 15% to cash in on the extended weekend between Independence Day and Eid, which is this Monday.

Ek Tha Tiger now pushes Hrithik Roshan's Agneepath to second place in first day earnings. Agneepath had collected close to Rs 21.5 crore on opening day and among the many box office records that Salman Khan has to break this is just the first.

This is Salman Khan's fourth consecutive money-spinner, after Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard. All three films made it to the elite "Rs 100 crore club." Co-star Katrina Kaif's last two films have also been hits - Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
