Veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, the ecstatic parents of the just married Esha Deol, hosted a grand reception
for their daughter and new son-in-law at a five-star hotel in Mumbai on Saturday night.
The bride was glowing in a pink lehenga
while husband Bharat Takhtani was dapper in a black suit.
Esha married fiance Bharat Takthani on Friday (June 29) in a traditional south Indian style wedding
Dharmendra, who skipped Esha's sangeet
and made only a very brief appearance at the mehendi
, played the perfect father of the bride
at both the wedding and the reception, which was attended by the who's who of Bollywood.
An excited Dharmendra, who has not spoken to the media during the wedding celebrations in the past week, said: "I am very happy that my daughter has got married and it is her reception today. I have got a very nice son-in-law."
Hema Malini, who was looking elegant in a cream emroidered sari by designer Neeta Lulla, thanked her guests for being there.
Veteran actors Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Jeetendra, Sanjay Khan, new Rajya Sabha MP Rekha, and Zeenat Aman made it to the reception. A host of younger stars including Dirty

girl Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Tabu, Kajol and Sridevi were also there.
Salman Khan, who had taken charge of Esha's wedding celebrations, was also there to wish his rakhi
Veteran actress Saira Banu, who was wearing an orange sari, said: "We are very happy for Esha and Bharat. We wish them good luck and this is going to be very happy for them."
Political punch was provided by senior BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and L K Advani among others.
