- Actress Geetanjali Thapa collected her Best Actress National Film Award for her performance in the Hindi film, Liar's Dice at the ceremony.
- Hansal Mehta collected his Best Director National Film Award for directing the Hindi film, Shahid at the ceremony.
- Actor Saurabh Shukla collected his Best Supporting Actor National Film Award for his performance in the Hindi film, Jolly LLB at the ceremony.
- Ganesh Acharya collected his Best Choreographer National Film Award for the Song Maston Ka Jhund from the film Bhag Milkha Bhag at the ceremony.
- Actor Riteish Deshmukh collected the National Award for his Marathi production, Yellow which won a special mention at the National Awards ceremony.
- Young Actress Gauri Gadgil collected her National Award for her performance in Marathi film, Yellow.
- M Sasikumar collected her the National Film Award for Best Film on National Integration for his Tamil production, Thalaimuragal, which was also veteran director Balu Mahendra's last film.
- Among the other recipients were director Subhash Kapoor ( Jolly LLB, Best Hindi Film), Mahesh Limaye (Yellow, Special Mention) and director Anand Gandhi ( Ship Of Thesus, Best Feature Film.
