Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan said he can now play "several kinds of characters" as Phantom has received a positive response.

"If I wanted to do just chocolate-boy roles or love stories, then I would feel limited and get bored. When a film like Phantom works, you receive a kind of versatility, about being capable of doing various kinds of characters," Saif told IANS.

"When a director comes to offer me a film next time, I'm clueless if it will be an action film or a love story. And I'm fascinated with such a wide range of roles that's there in front of me," added Saif.

The 45-year-old actor has done a variety of roles in films like Dil Chahta Hai, Hum Tum, Race, Omkara and Ek Hasina Thi.

"I would like to do all kinds of roles. And that's how it should be for an artiste. And there are always roles that the audience loves immensely. Perhaps it's our own keeda (urge) to try different types of roles," said Saif. (Also Read: Saif Ali Khan is Concerned About Having Become 'Anti-Pakistan Face')
