How Shah Rukh Khan Bleeds in His Films: Varun Dhawan Spills The Beans

Varun will be seen on the silver screen in Dilwale

Mumbai: You know that you are no more a new comer when you get your own spot at a film festival like MAMI. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan discussed the films that changed his life with film critic Anupama Chopra.

Varun, star of hits like Student Of The Year, Badlapur, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, said,"You have to bend over backwards to get a good film. Its easy to say that the writing wasn't good and that the editing wasn't good either, but you have to kill yourself to get the right film."

But perhaps it is his tuning with producers that makes Varun a darling in the filmmaking circles.

"If I know that the producer doesn't have a budget and if I know that I love the script, I work around things. There is no point making a film with a huge budget if it is not going to make money for the producer. It's a thankless job and if they stop making money we won't have films," the actor said.

Varun's next film, Dilwale, is with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor says that he was pampered on the sets.

"Shah Rukh and Rohit Shetty treated me like the baby and made me very comfortable. I learnt so many things especially the way SRK bleeds in the films. The fake blood that he uses for in his scenes is of the best quality. He even gifted me a bottle when he taught me how to use it to make it look real," revealed Varun.

Dilwale releases on December 18 this year.
