If Aarav wants to be an actor, he can: Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar says he doesn't want to pressurise his son Aarav at the moment
Actor Akshay Kumar doesn't wish to push his son Aarav into filmdom and says he has full freedom to make his own career choices.

"If he wants to become an actor, he can. He is just 10 years old. He can become whatever he wishes to, when he grows up. He might want to become a doctor or lawyer or anything, I don't want to pressurise him at the moment," said Akshay.

Married to actress Twinkle Khanna, the couple have two children - Aarav, 10 and daughter Nitara, born in September. With a career span of over two decades, the actor is looking better with each of his films.

Asked about the secret behind this, Akshay said, "I don't do anything in life other than smiling. It has been proven in science and real life as well that the most important thing is to make others smile and laugh."

"I read and save all the jokes, which I receive on my phone. I really like it when people laugh," said Akshay, who made his Bollywood debut with 1991 film Saugandh. With films like Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2 making it to the Rs 100 crore-club, this year has been very successful and emotionally draining for Akshay.

"First, I lost my father-in-law superstar Rajesh Khanna, which has been the biggest loss for my family. Also the demise of Yash Chopraji, AK Hangal, Ashok Mehta - all this has been a huge loss for the industry," he said.

The 45-year-old popularly known as Khiladi Kumar, is looking forward to the release of his new film Khiladi 786. Directed by Ashish R Mohan, the film also features Asin Thottumkal. It releases on Dec 7.
