New Delhi: Just when you thought the hotly-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the ICC World Twenty20 clash on March 19 couldn't get any more exciting comes news that actor Amitabh Bachchan will open the match with his rendition of the National Anthem. The Pakistani anthem will be sung by Shafaqat Amanat Ali.

Mr Bachchan retweeted a post by a fanclub which made the announcement.

Big B, 73, sang the National Anthem in a special music video for Republic Day in 2015. He also sang it at the opening ceremony of the Pro Kabaddi League tournament last year.

The actor, who has been filming Shoojit Sircar's new project PINK in Delhi, will also be seen in the much-hyped TE3N which also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a key role.

The Qaumi Tarana, Pakistan's National Anthem, will be sung by Fuzon vocalist Shafqat Amanat Ali, who regularly sings for Bollywood films ever since delivering a superhit with Mitwa from the Shah Rukh Khan film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.

India and Pakistan clash on March 19 at the Eden Gardens.
