It's A Bust: Break Up Day In Bollywood

Highlights

• Bollywood gossip mongers had a busy day today. Many cats are out of the bag – wait, make that Kats!
• First up, Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have finally gotten tired of the bumpy ride they were on for almost four months. Give or take.
• Delightful as we’re sure she is, Kat couldn’t break Ranbir of his habit of falling for his co-stars. Sources report that she tried to hold onto her wayward boyfriend as long as she could, but there was only one way it could end. So, exit Kat, enter Nargis Fakkri, the object of RK’s attentions in Rockstar? Poetic justice, some might say, given that Kat was accused of breaking up the Ranbir-Deepika romance previously.
• Seems like breaking up just as silently as they had gotten it going isn’t helping keep the fizzled romance out of the tabloids who are coming up with explanations of every sort to make sense of the Ranbir-Katrina-Nargis triangle . How did it happen? Your guess is as good as ours. But we did hear that Ranbir wouldn’t take Kat’s calls when Nargis was around. Wonder if he had also renamed her contact as ‘Battery Low’.
• Sonam Kapoor claims that keeping it going with Ranbir is in itself an achievement. OK, then!
• Now that we look at it, it wasn’t a good day for lovers all over.
• Karisma and Sunjay are also heading down splitsville. Rumour would have us believe that another woman is involved here too. Sunjay’s growing closeness to Priya Chatwal, estranged wife of US-based multimillionaire Vikram Chatwal, had earlier caused the columns to predict a break-up quite a few times, but this time it seems over for good.
• While it’s the end of an era for some, others have just opened a new chapter. With ex-girlfriend Lara Dutta taking herself off the matrimonial page in style, Dino is all set to walk down the altar too. Who’s the girl? Well, of course, girlfriend of two-years Nandita Mahtani. Come to think of it, he did seem quite comfortable around Bips the other day. A twist in the tale –Nandita just happens to be the ex-wife of Sunjay Kapur, he of the impending breakup with Karisma. Can you say small world really fast?
• Moving down South, now that older cousin brother Allu Arjun has happily crossed over to the other side – and we mean matrimony, not Bollywood - speculation about Telugu star Ram Charan Teja following in his footsteps is inevitable. To us it looks like Upasana Kamineni has caught his fancy, but he loyally sticks to the old claim- ‘Daddy Chiranjeevi’ will find his soulmate.
• Speaking of soulmates, it seems like Abhay Deol and his live-in girlfriend Preeti Desai might just make it official soon. Looks like he wants to settle down for a quieter life now. Shor in the City getting to him?
• And no such conversation can be complete without the King Of Affairs, Salman Khan. We warn you to not expect much here though. Robin Hood Pandey seems more inspired by humanitarian causes than his women off late. Putting our energy to good use, aren’t we? Or just put in the shade by a Bad Boy badder than he, Charlie Sheen?
• So, another day in the lives of our favourite stars. Some are breaking it, some making it. And of course Sallu is mending it!
