It's Sad: Dibakar Banerjee on Pakistan's Baby Ban

Dibakar said both neighbours will end up paying a "heavy price" if these incidents continue

In the wake of Pakistan banning Akshay Kumar's Baby, filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee says such incidents in India and Pakistan are "sad".

Dibakar also said both neighbours will end up paying a "heavy price" if these incidents continue.

"I can't comment on the film. I haven't seen it. I can't comment if the ban is justified or not. All I can say is it's sad.

Whatever is happening in India and Pakistan is not only sad, but also foolish," Dibakar told IANS on Friday.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie revolves around an undercover unit, formed to keep an eye on the movements of terrorist groups and to nix their plans to disrupt peace and harmony.

The film also stars Rana Daggubati, Danny Denzongpa and Taapsee Pannu and released in India on Friday. The film also features Pakistani actor Mikaal Zulfiqar and Rasheed Naz.

Dibakar said: "Both India and Pakistan are going to pay a very heavy price, very soon, if they do not stop behaving this way."
