Jacqueline Fernandez : I Am Not in Touch With Sajid Khan

Jacqueline and Sajid were reportedly in a relationship at one point

Highlights

  • Jacqueline Fernandez in a freewheeling chat about her latest film Kick, moving on in her personal life and her dream home.
  • Ques: This is the first time you have dubbed for your film
  • Jacqueline: I took it for granted earlier. I'd think that the dubbing artist would do it for me. But then, Kick is the biggest opportunity of my life and the biggest film of my career. Jacqueline: Initially, it was very tough and it took me three days just to dub a few lines but later on, I caught up. I have been working extra hard on the dubbing. I didn't enjoy it earlier but now I love it.
  • Ques: Did you agree to do the film even before the script was narrated to you?
  • Jacqueline: Yes, that's true. I said yes the moment I got to know that I would be acting opposite Salman Khan. I got a phone call from Sajid sir and I thought I would be meeting him for some other project, but he offered me Kick and I said yes right away.
  • Ques: Have you constructed a villa on the island that you purchased in Sri Lanka?
  • Jacqueline: No, I have bought the land for it, but I am in no hurry to build a villa. I want to come up with something that is serene, nice and isolated. It has to be a place where one can just chill and not get disturbed. It's my dream home and I am going to work on it slowly as I want it to be perfect.
  • Ques: Have you been approached for Milan Luthria's next?
  • Jacqueline: Yes, I have been in talks with Milan for some time now for a couple of projects. But it's too early to say anything more.
  • Ques: In an industry that sees its share of catfights, how have you stayed away from it all?
  • Jacqueline: Well, I don't find it difficult to gel with my co-stars. I know as an actor, people tend to have a lot of insecurities and highs and lows. We do lead complex lives. But I like being the person who can reach out to people and bond with my fellow actors. Also, in the glamour world, the fights are a little exaggerated. Sonam Kapoor is someone I can talk to about anything, any time.
  • Ques: Are you in touch with Sajid Khan?
  • Jacqueline: No, of course not. People move on and we are both in a great space now.
