Kangana Ranaut Has Swagger to Die For in New Song Banno

A still from the song Banno from Tanu Weds Manu Returns

The video that accompanies the song Banno from upcoming comedy Tanu Weds Manu Returns has now been released, allowing fans to get better acquainted with the glam Tanu Trivedi's tomboyish lookalike Datto.

Datto, it appears, is a hot air filled balloon who soars above the clutches of her family ('Garm hawa di udi gubaari/Family de haath ni aari'), she's given to public outbursts and the back-seat won't do for her (Baat-vaat kardi ai/Haath-vaath maardi ai/Bethe kabhi na back-seat) and she comes with a health warning (Warning public mein jaari/Aap sambhaalo jimmedari).

She also has swagger that is sexy.

Banno, which was released in audio version only some days ago, features Kangana Ranaut in a double role as the feisty Tanu and the madcap Datto. R Madhavan, as Tanu's discarded husband Manu, is utterly charmed.

There's also some graceless wedding dancing, gulaal-smearing during Holi and a tiger. What's not to like?

Banno is composed by Tanishk and Vayu and sung by Brijesh Shandilya and Swati Sharma.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Tanu Weds Manu Returns is the sequel to the hit 2011 film. It co-stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Deepak Dobriyal and is out on May 22.
