Four years back Karan Johar introduced three 'students' to Bollywood - Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra - with his film
Student Of The Year. Today
his protegees are super successful and say they can't thank KJo enough for bringing them to this day.
"We are really, really excited and we can't believe that it's been four years and all we want to say is, 'Thank you, Thank you so much'," said Alia. "There's one man we want to thank - Karan Johar. Me, Sid and Alia, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are, who we are, because of you," added Varun.
Alia and Varun made the video while they were in Singapore shooting for their upcoming film
Badrinath Ki Dulhania, which is again produced by Karan's Dharma Productions. Here's what they've said:

After starring in the 2012 film,
Alia Bhatt, 23, went on to do critically acclaimed films like
Highway and
Udta Punjab. She also featured in typical
masala films like
2 States,
Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and
Kapoor And Sons. Barring
Shaandaar, Alia has only struck gold at the box office. She'll be next seen in Gauri Shinde's
Dear Zindagi co-starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Varun Dhawan, 29, too
had a blockbuster journey in Bollywood for four years. Films like
Main Tera Hero,
Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and
ABCD 2 made good bucks at the box office while with
Badlapur he earned critical acclaim.
For Sidharth Malhotra, 31, things have not been so smooth.
Hasee Toh Phasee,
Brothers and
Baar Baar Dekho did not fetch much. Though
Ek Villain and
Kapoor And Sons have been his saving grace.
Karan Johar is gearing up for the release of
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in which he's directed Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan. Alia, Shah Rukh and Lisa Haydon have cameos. The film releases on October 28 along with Ajay Devgn's
Shivaay.
Meanwhile, a sequel to
Student Of The Year, with Tiger Shroff in lead role was announced recently.
