New Delhi: Actress Kriti Sanon has denied reports that she has been roped in for Sultan opposite Salman Khan, saying that nobody has offered her the role yet.

Rumours had it that the Heropanti star had been signed on to star in the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film, which was earlier offered to other prominent actresses in the industry.

"Even I read about me doing Sultan in newspapers. I don't really know where it comes from and who gets to know all this. They don't even confirm or check before they write. I would love to do it but I have not been approached so far," Kriti told PTI. (Also Read: After Shah Rukh in Dilwale, Kriti Sanon Wants to Work With Salman, Aamir Khan)

The 25-year-old actress will be next seen in Rohit Shetty's upcoming film Dilwale, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan.

When asked why it took her a while to sign her second Bollywood project, Kriti said, "I always knew that it takes time for your second film to happen. I didn't want to sign anything in hurry. In most of the actor's career there has always been a little gap between first and the second film."

Though Kriti took her time to sign her second Bollywood film, she did shoot for Telugu film Dochay during the gap. (Also Read: Kriti Sanon Plans Balancing Act in Hindi, Southern Films)

"Professionally, I was not sitting at home. So, I was not cribbing. It all worked out really well. I think it was more important for me to wait and sign the right project because after your debut film, you need to sign a film which is one notch higher at least.. You need to be careful with the script. You sometimes tend to chose whatever comes your way. I didn't want to do that."
