Mumbai More Hazardous Than Kashmir: Mehra

Mumbai: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra,who shot his home production 'Teen Thay Bhai' in Jammu andKashmir's famous tourist town Gulmarg, said that peopleharbour "wrong notions" about the state.

Mehra, who is producing the movie directed by debutantMrighdeep Lamba, told PTI that the film was shot at Gulmarg,in Baramula district, in 44 days.

"It was so wonderful. We could not have asked for amore peaceful time. The local authorities, State Governmentand especially the people were so helpful. I don't know whyeverybody has a wrong notion about Kashmir. There are moreproblems shooting in Mumbai than in Kashmir," Mehra said.

'Teen Thay Bhai' is a comedy revolving around threebrothers, who can't stand the sight of each other.

Mehra said Lamba narrated the script to him two yearsago. "It was a wonderful narration. I was emotionally moved bythe script and took a decision to produce it."

Speaking about the cast, Mehra said he finalised hiscast as per the needs of the story.

"This film did not require a big star cast and has abudget of less than Rs 8 crore. We did not need a star to getus the desired box office opening and thought we will go withthe best casting possible."
