It is being said that Arpita and her husband Aayush Sharma came to know of the theft on Sunday, after they returned from a holiday.

An officer from Khar police station told Mumbai Mirror that they are on the lookout for a maid named Aafsa, who was working for the family. The maid has been missing since July 30, and it is being suspected that she may be involved in the crime.
