Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar said said that no actor can be as good as Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan or Balraj Sahni.
"This could be something controversial. But leave aside actors like Dilip Kumar, Bajraj Sahni or Amitabh Bachchan, who were brilliant actors. I don't think that there is any actor currently, who can match the standard of these actors. The paradox is that acting standards have clearly improved as compared to previous times. The hamming evident is absent today. Some positive developments have happened but this is also true that you don't have another Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar or Balraj Sahni," said Javed
sahab.
"Perhaps, you can say that the writing standard isn't what it was previously. It's also true that the cliche and theatrical dialogues are not seen nowadays. The emotional depth is insufficient now and it should be more. Earlier, there used to be so much theatrics and other kinds of drama. This generation got so irritated by it that they went on a separate path," he added.
