Priyanka relieved at not being linked with Ranbir Kapoor

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Priyanka Choprawho has been romantically linked with all her co-stars,especially Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapur off-screen, says sheheaved a sigh of relief when the media did not do so withcurrent heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor during the shooting ofAnjaana Anjaani.

"Thankfully there was no link up and the mediaprojected our friendship during the making of the film in USin the right perspective. I said to myself...the media hasimproved," Priyanka said in an interview.

The 27-year-old actress said she had lot ofpre-conceived notions about the Kapoor scion."I had met him earlier through common friends andalways thought he was the spoilt son of a rich father. But, aswe got to know each other during the filming of Anjana Anjani, we discovered that we had lot in common and wouldtalk a lot," she said.

However, breaking the ice was not easy, she said."Initially, we would just stick to our work and go ourseparate ways after shots during the US schedule. As theshooting progressed, we spent a lot of time with each otherand became friends," she said.

As an actor, Priyanka said, Ranbir kept her on hertoes. "Even though, we are of the same age, I am senior to himprofessionally," she said.

Talking about the Sidharth Anand-directed film,Priyanka said, "Anjaana Anjaani is about two individuals whoare trying to find luck in their life after several failedattempts to be successful in their careers and in love. Fedup, they both decide to commit suicide by jumping off abridge. However, both land up on the same bridge at the sametime."

She said Anjaana Anjaani was her first love story butit was not a conventional one."It's not comedy. There are lots of emotions involved.There are light moments as well. I have done Dostana andMujhse Shadi Karogi which were romantic comedies. LoveStory 2050 was a sci-fi," she said.

The film is described as all great love stories happenbetween strangers. Priyanka says she does not believe in loveat first sight. "Love is too profound a word. At first sight,there can be attraction," she said.

About interacting with strangers, Priyanka said everyperson one meets is a stranger first. "I have no problem intalking to strangers. I am a friendly person and get alongwith everybody," she said.

On microblogging site Twitter and many celebritieslike Imran Khan, Sonu Nigam quitting it, Priyanka said she wasone of the first from Bollywood to tweet. "It is my virtualdiary and find it a good interactive platform. I welcomecriticism but block vulgar and personal comments," she added.The actress, who has acquired a tanned look after hervacation in Brazil, said she is going to Berlin in mid-Octoberto shoot Don 2 with Shah Rukh Khan.

When asked about her foray into television withKhatron Ke Khiladi, Priyanka said the show was an experimentfor her."Khatron Ke Khiladi was an experiment. I used toenjoy Fear Factor. I got a lot of television offers. But,this one was suitable because I was required to spare only 20days. I could take time out between completing a schedule ofSaat Khoon Maaf and beginning promotions of Anjaana Anjaanibefore starting shooting for Don 2," she said.

When asked if she would agree to be a contestant onreality show, Priyanka said, "I have no courage to be acontestant."

Priyanka said Vishal Bharadwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf washer most ambitious film till date."I play a character whose age spans 21 to 65 years,"she added.

Apart from Don 2, she said she has recently signedAnurag Basu's Silence opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
