New Delhi: Actor Shah Rukh Khan's train from Mumbai pulled into Delhi's Nizamuddin station at 10.45 am, 10 minutes ahead of schedule. After arriving, the 51-year-old Raees star told news agency ANI that it was 'extremely unfortunate' that one person died in the crush at Vadodara station. "Extremely unfortunate that someone died. Our team was there all along, tragic that such an incident took place," SRK said. A resident of Vadodara died, reportedly of a heart attack, after police allegedly lathi-charged the crowd.

ANI has images of SRK arriving in Delhi on the August Kranti Express.

Shah Rukh Khan, his Raees co-star Sunny Leone, director Rahul Dholakia and producer Ritesh Sidhwani boarded the train at Mumbai Central yesterday at 5.40 pm. A massive crowd saw them off. On the way, they stopped at Vapi, Valsad, Vadodara, Surat, Kota, Sawai Madhopur and Mathura to promote the film.

SRK took the train for pretty much the first time ever since he first made the journey from Delhi, his hometown, to Mumbai in the Nineties. He's shot on trains often but except for one time with his kids, he's never actually traveled by rail. Before leaving his home Joe the station on Monday, SRK said he was both "nervous and excited."

From onboard the train, SRK posted several tweets:
