It's a brand new year and rumoured Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have begun it by throwing their customary caution to the wind. Or at least, that's what we're choosing to believe from this photo of them shopping with Deepika's family in Bangalore.
If meeting the Padukones wasn't enough, The Times Of India reports that the actors flew directly to Bangalore from the Maldives - where they had been ringing in the new year - so that Deepika could be with her family on her birthday, January 5.
Ranveer reportedly took Deepika, her mother Ujjala and sister Anisha on a luxury shopping spree at a high end shopping arcade. His birthday gift to her was a limited edition designer clutch, we hear.
Ranveer and Deepika held hands as they shopped at various boutiques, revealed an onlooker to the Times.
Perhaps 2015 will finally see a public acknowledgment of the relationship. Deepika, in particular, has so far carefully steered conversations away from the reported romance.
Ranveer and Deepika will reportedly start filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period romance,
Bajirao Mastani, this month. They last co-starred in Mr Bhansali's
Ram-Leela in 2013. Ranveer also had a cameo role in Deepika's
Finding Fanny last year.
