Highlights

  • Ace choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza, who proved himself as a filmmaker by delivering two hit films, wants to work with the Khans someday.

  • His next film was ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance, a 3D dance movie. It had Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya in key roles and also a few participants of dance reality show Dance India Dance.
  • Both the films had relatively new actors but despite that they managed to garner good response.
  • "Star power is important as before the release there is a strong buzz. I would love to work with stars. I want to work with all the Khans and Kapoor. One day when these stars will realise that I am worth it, may be then they will work with me. Till now I feel I have to prove a lot, so as of now I am happy with newcomers," Remo told PTI.
  • With the kind of positive response that his two films got, the industry's perception towards Remo has changed to some extent.
  • "Things have changed a lot. They (industry people) take me more seriously now. Earlier they thought I am just a choreographer. So when I used to tell people I want to direct films nobody took me seriously," he said.
  • "It was after the box office success of Faltu and ABCD that industry people are taking me seriously. I am happy about it," he said.
  • Remo now has on hand a film backed by Karan Johar.
  • "I am doing action film that Karan Johar and UTV Motion Pictures are backing. This film stars Siddharth Malhotra. Then I have ABCD sequel which will go on floors in December. We will more or less retain the cast - Prabhu Deva, Ganesh Acharya and others. We will also get international stars for the sequel," he said.
  • "Vashu Bhagnani (producer of Faltu) and I haven't met for long time. But Faltu sequel is also in pipeline," he added.
