- The Goan singer, who has featured on big screen earlier in minor roles, is playing a Portuguese aristocrat in the film based on Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables.
- "Acting is a brand new world for me. Luckily, at this stage, I will never be asked to play a hero, so I will never be trapped in a typecast role. I can, therefore, happily take on any role I get from a good director," he said.
- Besides Bombay Velvet, the singer would be seen in a small role in Mohit Suri's upcoming thriller Ek Villain. On Suri's film, he said "All I can say is I'm playing a mafia don. It's a short role, so don't expect too much out of it."
- Having enjoyed a successful music career for many years, Remo felt his shift towards acting is an intelligent decision and part of a new learning process.
- "It is a new learning experience for me. Learning how to relax your mind and put yourself fully into the character you're playing. Believing you're that person. Another first time experience was dialogue dubbing. I never thought I would enjoy acting, but I do."
- Remo is happy that in both the films, he got to play different characters unlike his previous assignments where he was mostly shown as a music composer.
- "What excites me most about these two films is that for the first time I was engaged purely as an actor not as a musician. I have done small roles in Trikaal and Jalwa ages ago, but there I acted as a musician," he said.
- Remo is looking forward to do more meaningful roles in future but said music remains his first love. "I will take up roles that are exciting and suit me, and if the directors and production houses are good."
