Salman Khan's much-anticipated film Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan has made a pre-release business of Rs 20 crore, reports
Bollywood Hungama. The film's music rights has been sold for Rs 20 crore to Sony Music, suggested the
report. Interestingly,
Tubelight only has three songs. Kabir Khan wrapped
Tubelight's shooting earlier in February and via an Instagram post said that he "cannot wait to show his film to the world." The film also features late actor Om Puri, Salman's actor brother Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, who makes her debut with
Tubelight. The film is scheduled for release on Eid this year.
Bollywood Hungama also reported that earlier, the music rights of Salman Khan's 2015 film
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo were sold for Rs 17 crore.
Tubelight is a war drama has been extensively shot in Ladakh and Manali. Salman, 51, stars as an army man.
Kabir Khan, who has directed Salman in superhit films like
Ek Tha Tiger and
Bajrangi Bhaijaan claims that the actor's performance is better in
Tubelight. He told news agency IANS, "
Salman will be seen in a completely different way in the film. If people have thought that Salman's performance is special in
Bajrangi Bhaijaan, then his performance in
Tubelight is five times better than it."
Shah Rukh Khan is also a part of Salman's Tubelight and will have cameo appearance.
After
Tubelight, Salman Khan will be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's
Tiger Zinda Hai, co-starring Katrina Kaif. The film is a sequel to
Ek Tha Tiger. Salman starred in Ali 2016's blockbuster film
Sultan.
